                  The People of Manipur       The population of Manipur Comprises different social groups. They are Meeteis/Meiteis, Nagas, Kukis meitei pangal and Miscellanous groups. The entire population of Manipur distributed into two regions: the hill and the valley population. The valley people supposed to be the descendants of four old tribes called Khuman, Luwang, Moirang and Maithai.
